Q. How to clean your washing machine on first use?
A. Upon first use, you may notice that there is a residue visible on your clothes. This isn’t a Euca residue, but rather a residue of our Euca product cleaning the inside of your machine. We recommend that you run your machine on empty when first using Euca. Use roughly 40g of the product and on the longest cycle. Be sure to check the filter as well before doing this as it may have a large build up and will need some manual cleaning to achieve a thorough result.

Q. Why am I seeing some residual Euca powder in my front loader dispensing drawer?
Euca’s blend has remained unchanged for over 40 years, with no fillers at all used. One aspect of the use of fillers is to help disperse the laundry powder when subjected to a water spray, such as happens in the drawer of a front loader. New front loaders, to gain a high eco rating, or to be termed high efficiency, have less pressure & volume than previous models in the dispensing drawer. This change has resulted in us being aware that at times you may see remnants of powder left behind in your drawer that have not been pushed out into the wash. Euca’s chemists have experimented with changes to remove this concern, but sadly it would result in us having to add salts and / or enzymes (fillers and replacement active raw materials) which we have decided we won’t do, as our loyal customer base relies on Euca not having additives that may upset any skin or bronchial allergies. Based on this, we recommend if you are seeing traces of this happening, to pre-mix Euca with some water to make a slurry in the drawer and, or, sprinkle the powder directly onto the washing that has been inserted into the tub of the machine. The team at Euca hopes you understand and can appreciate we are looking at numerous options to resolve this, but at present we feel it best to leave the formula unchanged until we can be 100% certain any change will have the same result in cleaning and protection for you and the environment. Feel free to let us know your thoughts on this, or anything else you would like to ask in regards to Euca and cleaning in your home, we are always happy to help. Email us at

Q. How much does freight/shipping cost?
A. Euca now has “Live” freight. Meaning the freight cost is calculated based on your location, order size and weight. You are now ordering direct from our shipping platform we use called “Shippit”. The benefit is the new live freight now allows customers who wanted to try / trial Euca in smaller sizes to be able to easily order with minimal accurate delivery costs. NOTE - We Recommend, if you previously ordered in “BULK” ( as in several heavy products in one order ), to now order these separately, or break down the order into a couple of orders. This is due to live freight looks at the “Total” volume , weight , size, and location. An example is 3 bulk items ordered to Gawler SA in one order = $97 in freight. But ordered individually as 3 separate orders they totalled $42 in freight ($14 each) . We are here to work with customers , so if you cannot get your order to work for you feel free to email –

Q. Does the Euca Laundry Liquid have the same cleaning power as the Euca Laundry Powder?
A. We do get asked this question quite often.
Please see below the comparison information between Euca laundry powder and liquid.
Comparison
Oddly the liquid was developed way back when Dynamo was first launched, and customers started to use a liquid more than a powder. The Beauty of the liquid was seen as it “dissolved” completely and clothes didn’t have a white powder residue. sadly the majors still add “extras” into liquid, which actually really means they don’t really dissolve.
Euca didn’t need to make a liquid as our powder does completely dissolve, but customer demand for a liquid made us make a Euca Concentrate liquid wash.
The main difference between our powder and Liquid is the Powder still has some phosphate (in good earth compatible quantities to make plants grow green) whereas the Liquid has none at all, so its green as well, but we know some country customers who prefer the Powder grey water to use over the liquid as the phosphate really does help plants. Other than that, both do the same job and have the same cleaning power.
Usage – recommended
Powder:
Front loaders 20 gram per wash – so a 10kg tub should last 500 washes
Top loaders 30 grams to 40 grams depending on soils in clothes , so about 330 washes
Liquid:
Front Loaders 20ml per wash – so again about 500 washes.
Top loaders is about one serve 30ml to 40ml or more depending on soils – so again about 330 washes.
We advertise 10 to 20 cents a wash … powder or liquid. But generally it is about 15 cents a wash.

Q. How do I use the Bung Tool?
A. We have put together some easy to follow instructions. Follow the link below:
www.eucaonline.com.au/media/wysiwyg/document/Euca_How_To_Bung_Tool.pdfQ. Why don’t Euca use enzymes in our laundry and cleaning products
All Euca laundry detergents are safe on all fabrics - including delicates as Euca laundry powder and detergents do not contain enzymes. Why? Because enzymes attack organic materials - which means they may be good for dissolving fats and oils but not good when they attack your woolen, silk, or cashmere clothes, and all other natural fibres. Unfortunately, many of the other "big name supermarket brands" such as Dynamo, OMO 3 in 1, Biozet-Attack, Cold Power, True Earth, Simply Clean offer products that contain enzymes. So it's important to check the labels of products that you use, to avoid damaging your clothing. The simple solution - use Euca Laundry Powder or Liquid Detergent on all of your clothes.
